Marvel's Agent Carter is a television series starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter. It is set between the events of Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter. On May 8, 2014 Marvel Entertainment announced that ABC picked up Agent Carter as an eight-episode series, to air during the 2014-2015 television season. The series premiered on January 6, 2015, during the break between the first and second halves of Season 2 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and concluded on February 24, 2015. A second season, to likewise fill the midwinter break for AoS, was confirmed for 2016. The second season premiered on January 19, 2016 and concluded it's run on March 1, 2016. On May 12, 2016, the series was officially (sadly) cancelled, although rumors persisted of a possible move to Netflix.
